ODIN’S CHOSEN: SHOW OF STRENGTH EXPERIENCE
ODIN’s Chosen is a one-of-a-kind strength competition built for men and women ready to test themselves, push beyond their limits, and earn their place among the strong.
This isn’t just another competition. It’s a VIP, once-in-a-lifetime experience designed to bring aspiring strength athletes directly into the world of elite strength sports. Competitors will have the rare opportunity to train, learn, compete, and spend time alongside accomplished strength athletes with decades of combined experience across the world of strength sports.
The top competitors who prove themselves worthy will receive an invitation to Odin’s Chosen IV, a fully sanctioned strong man event held in Vista, CA in Spring 2027, stepping onto an even greater stage alongside some of the strongest athletes in the sport.
Come prepared to lift heavy, learn from the best, and experience strength sports from the inside.
Odin’s Chosen – Show of Strength Experience, is a special event inside of Vista Viking Festival 2026. To participate you must also have a Vista Viking Festival 2026 Ticket for the day you have signed up to participate.
There are only 10 participant slots for men and 10 participant slots for women each day of Vista Viking Festival 2026.
International Highland Games Federation
We will be hosting the International Highland Games Federation Stone Lifting Competition. Come and watch both Men and Women compete for the 2027 World games in Norway. These talented athletes will be showing off their grit and determination in a series of events that test their strength and technique with escalating weights as they battle for a spot in the World Games.
Come cheer on your favorite competitor or just witness some incredible performances. The Men’s Championship will be held on Saturday from 11:00-2:00 in the Competition Field. The Women’s Championship will be held on Sunday from 11:00-2:00 in the Competition Field.

Gather round for the always popular test of strength, the Viking Log Toss. Further hone your Viking skills for the Battle Cry and Beard contests. Be sure to catch the fun of a Fish Fling competition for both adults and kids.

Weapons Tournament
At 5:00pm each day their will be a Weapons Tournament in the Weapons Range for patrons to show off their skills in Archery, Ax Throwing, and Spear Throwing.
