Twilight of an Age

For 25 years, our festival has grown from humble beginnings at Norway Hall in Vista into the celebration it is today—all thanks to the support of our community. Local businesses, entertainers, and volunteer groups, including Boy Scouts, youth cheerleaders, youth and adult sports teams, have helped make it possible. We couldn’t do it without you. Today, the festival is becoming known for world-class entertainment and world-championship competitions.

Guilds & Encampments

Living Crafts & Combat

Historical Metallurgy

The Village Forge

Master smiths demonstrate tenth-century hearth welding and tool shaping over charcoal braziers, turning raw iron bars into historically accurate blades, rivets, and camp hardware.

Historical Combat

Steel & Shield Wall

Reenactment guilds demonstrate tactical formations and live steel skirmishing, showcasing defensive shield lockups and period spear drills under strict safety marshaling.

The festival hosts sanctioned international World Championship stone lifting alongside Odin's Chosen Test of Mettle, challenging athletes and guests to the limits of the strength and endurance!

Both men's and women's divisions honor legendary folk traditions, testing pure grip, back strength, and composure to honor and keep age old traditions alive.
